Thinking over India : Lack of innovation

News after news I sallow so much of dark moral through my eyes every day that it become so common to ignore a pity corrupt incident happening in my conscious vicinity. A youngster is like a boiling pot of water with so less space to express and blow out its building pressure. In country like ours the motivations are highly skewed and the race to stand at the same place is to fast that innovation don't get enough oxygen to fill their lungs. Money is just an booster to any cause to take place but the diversity in the motivations is a great requirement. Surely following is not a bad option but trying out new things is also a need of hour in our country.

Recently a bill has been passed to boost the economy of India by foreign investment, hitting the news with a name of FDI. People are shouting and fighting so much over the the economical consequences of the decisions but a small significance is given to the reason that why do we reached to this situation at all? After the independence we survived for 44 years without any foreign investment shouting the slogans of Swadeshi mentality. However after opening our markets to foreign world till some extent we can't even survive for 20 years. This decision has a good probability, and evidences as well for the desperate measure of ruling party for its short term goal. As a citizen I think this was a bad mentality and will have deleterious effect on our economy in long run.

However the question remains the same that why reached this point. I believe that lack of motivation followed by lack of innovation always make the economy to end-up this way. Our country's investment in education, research and health care is too less that it didn't left a great scar from a very long time. The lack of respect and support for an emerging innovation has led us to a situation where a youngster with a degree always look for a company or government to create employment for them which result to a desperate situation. The feeling of self sufficiency never arise through the knowledge it has gained in that course of time.

Seed of Need

This is another attempt to write what I think is a round poem because the stating and the ending point of the poem remains same. Enjoy it.

Seed of Need

There was a time when they lived under my green shades,

Untill their needs grew too much to cut me, chop me, build me, paint me,

They extracted my dyes; they made me into papers,

To restore the knowledge and pass it on to the generations

Read by Hundred, scattered in thousand, making a brilliant enlightened expressions,

Hitting the neurons inside their brains, sparking the idea to make the change,

Forcing them to foresee their future, letting them know the work of nature,

That was the time when need killed me, this is the time when need needs me,

To expand there need to inflate their reaches,

Now they conserve me, preserve me and re-grow me, to be a seed,

A seed of their need.

No Man's Land

Here is one of my first attempt in poems. I hope you all will like it.

No Man’s land

There was a no man’s land, abandoned by both the nations due to its barren capabilities,

It would have retained its status, till an explorer claimed tons of oil under its face,

Soon the land converted into documents by nations’ bureaucracy,

The documents rose tension on people’s faces and greed in leaders’ heart,

The greed leads to meetings, pact, conclaves, while the tension transforms to prayers and blessings,

Those meetings brought the conflicts and the conflicts lead to politics, while politics ends with a war,

Where war defines strategies, attacks, bloodshed with a winner, loser and another war,

With guilt in minds and tears in eyes on a no man’s land no man alive!

Where dead rots to fossil, fossil rots to fuel, fuel rots to fight,

To make the cycle wind and wind,

The no man’s land remains as wild.
